ORBIS ConstructionSITE: an innovative and smart mobile app for digitalizing the construction site
With ORBIS ConstructionSITE, ORBIS SE – an international software and business consulting firm – is offering an innovative, intuitive mobile app that can be used to perform construction site processes completely digitally and thus very efficiently, quickly and transparently. That – and the fact that the smart low-code app based on Microsoft Power Platform simplifies processes, significantly increases the quality of data, and also enables automated AI-powered document processing with Microsoft Power Automate – is clear added value.
ORBIS ConstructionSITE provides numerous useful features that enable companies operating in the construction sector to digitally handle work on the construction site on a smartphone or tablet, both online and offline. All data and photos deemed relevant during a site inspection are centrally recorded and documented in a digital construction file. The information and recordings can be made available to all those involved in a construction project – employees from Internal Service, Technical Support and Sales, tradespeople and architects, not to mention the general contractor – at the swipe of a finger. This improves and simplifies communication and increases service excellence. For example, it enables construction defects reported by customers to be checked immediately and rectified in a timely manner, ensuring a positive customer experience. Sales also benefits a great deal. A site manager can record the additional order potential they identify on site directly in the app and forward it to the Sales team so that they can initiate the sales process straight away.
Another highlight is the fact that, with ORBIS ConstructionSITE and a Bluetooth-enabled rangefinder, measurements can be taken digitally, which – compared to manual measurements – takes up to 70% less time. The time saved can now be allocated to core tasks. The digital measurements can also be forwarded directly to the Production Department using the app.
With this construction site app, ORBIS is also expanding its broad portfolio of proprietary Microsoft-based solutions to support the digital transformation in the construction and construction supply industry. These solutions include: the cloud-based ORBIS ConstructionHUB for managing and qualifying construction projects from databases (iBau, Building Radar, Barbour ABIin), the sector-specific application ORBIS ConstructionONE and the service solution ORBIS ServiceONE, not to mention ORBIS ConstructionRFQ for automated request for quotation (RFQ) management with artificial intelligence (AI).
